Position Title: Project Coordinator 

Location: Gaza Field Office

Duration: 7 months

 

Project Background:

 

Cooperative Society for saving and lending is a cooperative association working with rural and marginalized women in Gaza Strip aims to develop Palestinian women, especially in Palestinian countryside and enhance their role in social, economic, cultural and political life based on laws and the principles and ethics of collaborative work and self-governance and democracy and seek equality, justice and solidarity for excellence and leadership in economic and social and psychological empowerment for rural women in Gaza Strip.

 

Cooperative Society for saving and lending - CSSL and Action Against Hunger - ACF are working in the implementation of the project:

 

“Protecting and enhancing the capacities of most vulnerable households and communities affected by the protracted humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Stripfunded by ECHO.

 

The project will contribute to the protection of the most vulnerable households by rebuilding their lost livelihoods to cover basic needs, strengthen resilience to respond to shocks, and to cope with the negative effects of IHL violations on livelihoods.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities:

 

-Follow-up to the announcement of the project in the target areas in the specified time period. 

-Collecting applications of target groups in targeted areas in collaboration with the ACF project team.

-Conduct daily follow up visit to monitor the selected project beneficiaries and progress of their Income Generating Activities.Preparation for meetings with target groups.

-Monitoring the training on daily basis and following the target groupsattendance.

-Follow-up trainer’s commitment for the training according to the plans.

-Problemsdocumentation through daily field visits to identify constrains that may face the beneficiaries.

-Provide target groups with technical support  to solve any problems or obstacles that may facing beneficiaries

-Follow-up how the beneficiaries will use the payments for income-generating activities and evaluate the beneficiary’s commitment to the project.

-Assist target groups in selection the best project ideas andprovideguidance to facilitate the marketing process. 

-Coordination and networking with local authorities when needed

-Prepare reports as needed and submit to CSSL project management team.

 

Qualifications: 

 

-Bachelor degree in (social sciences, business administration, economics, or any similar field).

-At least 3 years’ experience in similar fields.

-Good English and Arabic; written, Spoken and communication skills

-Good understanding and experience in supervision and monitoring of the project implementation and impact measurement

-Ability to write and prepare interim and final project reports

-Computer skills: sound knowledge of standard software (mainly MS Office(

-Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills; highly organized/strong coordination skills; able to set priorities, work systematically towards goals, both independently and as part of a team;
