The Hebrew Channel 14 reported on Sunday, July 22, 2025, that the Israeli army has concluded its ground operation in the city of Deir al‑Balah, in the central Gaza Strip, just one day after it began.

The channel stated that Israeli forces had “successfully” completed their mission, without providing further details about the nature or objectives of the operation.

The announcement comes as fighting continues in various parts of the Gaza Strip, amid mounting international criticism of Israel’s military operations, particularly in light of the catastrophic humanitarian conditions in Gaza.

On Monday, the Israeli army launched a ground operation in Deir al‑Balah, marking the latest expansion of what has been described as a campaign of extermination waged by Tel Aviv against Palestinians in the enclave for the past 22 months.

Israel’s official army radio quoted unnamed sources as saying that this was the first time ground forces had entered Deir al‑Balah since the beginning of the war on Gaza.

Channel 14 reported that units from the Israeli army’s Golani Brigade spearheaded the ground operation in Deir al‑Balah.

According to the channel, the army is “carrying out this operation swiftly, even though the forces operating there belong to only one brigade.”

It added that “Israeli forces face several days of intensive and relatively concentrated military activity ahead—this is expected to last for several days, not just one or two.”

 

In a post on the X platform, Adraee urged Palestinians in the specified areas to move south toward the Al‑Mawasi zone.

He also vowed to expand the scope of the extermination campaign by conducting “a ground operation” for the first time in the areas targeted by the warning.
