Al-Qassam: Beit Hanoun Operation a New Blow to the Prestige of the Israeli Army

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, declared on Tuesday that the complex Beit Hanoun operation, carried out by its fighters on Monday evening, was "another blow to the fragile prestige of the Israeli army," vowing to capture more Israeli soldiers in the future.

In a statement issued by Abu Obeida, the spokesperson for the Al-Qassam Brigades, the group commented on the operation conducted by its fighters in the northern Gaza town of Beit Hanoun, where the Israeli army confirmed the killing of five soldiers and the injury of 14 others.

Abu Obeida stated:

"The complex Beit Hanoun operation is an additional strike delivered by our valiant fighters to the prestige of the weak and criminal Israeli army, in an area they falsely believed was secure after leaving nothing standing there."

He emphasized that the war of attrition being waged by Al-Qassam fighters from northern to southern Gaza continues to inflict daily losses on the Israeli forces.

He added:

"Even though the [Israeli] army recently managed, by sheer luck, to rescue its soldiers from the inferno, it may not be as fortunate next time—leading to more captives falling into our hands."

Abu Obeida stressed that the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and the bravery of the resistance are shaping the next phase of the conflict.

He concluded by warning that the “most foolish decision Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu could make would be to keep his forces inside the Gaza Strip.”
